| Hiking in Graham County - Two-thirds of the county is National Forest. The Appalachian Trail winds through the county on its trek from Georgia to Maine. Graham County is the home of The Nantahala National Forest, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Slickrock Creek Wilderness area and borders the Smoky Mountains National Park. The Snowbird & West Buffalo Creeks have a national reputation of some of the best trout streams around. | |
